Pizza dough

550ml warm water

2 table spoons granulated sugar

20g yeast

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 tablespoon coarse salt

5 cups of flour plus more for kneading

 The sauce

2 and half tablespoons olive oil

3 whole, peeled garlic cloves

2 X 410g cans of whole peeled tomatoes

1 teaspoon coarse salt

 The topping

what we ate…

half a can of pilchards (without the sauce)

caramelised red onions

sliced chili

feta cheese

mozzarella (grated)

Parting shot…my cooking station. This paraffin lamp has become a real ‘socialite feature’ in our place. Renier and I simply won’t have our dinner without it.

*This is another recipe adaptated from the book ‘Notes From My Kitchen Table’ (www.goop.com)
